Trying to keep the build under 2600, and i heard the h80i cools that processor pretty well

it will, but no better than a far cheaper air cooler. seriously it is worth the extra 40 bucks to step it up. also you dont need to buy thermal paste, so save 11 bucks there. aslo, an ssd is pritty good to have theese days

and what the hell ... why would you spend more on your mobo than cpu....

Look I fixed it.... that was all over the place

note: money saved allowed upgrade to 4k monitor, h100i and a 250gb evo ssd

Listen Up, I aint about all that budget crap. I get whats good, that I like, and that I can afford.

so why not get a 300 buck mobo and a 5820k???? like logic? the mobo is just a waste of money. if you an=int about budget crap then why dont you have an ssd or an i7 when it can easily be fit in that budget

because the mobo I have fits my needs, and the i5 6600k is the best value out of all the skylake processors. So what if i have my preferences?

I totally agree with the skylake CPU, it's a great choice for the value! However Imma also suggest a motherboard within the $100 to $200 range. I can't remember if Linus mentions it in this episode or not:

but motherboards TYPICALLY don't affect performance as much as you'd think, so I'd suggest cutting back on the mobo, and going an i7. You'll get better performance that way.

You have a great build by the way! Hoping you have fun building it :D.

EDIT: Just read the comments up above, if you're set on that mobo, then I say go for it. But if the reason is for performance improvements, then I would suggest investing in an i7.

Thanks for being nice about it bro! (I mean it xD) I really like what asus includes with that motherboard, so I'm prob gonna go for it, and ill prob upgrade the processor later.
