Login Problem in Chrome

Go to solution Solved by Climb0r,

That is actually very likely :D I played CS:GO on one of my monitors while the problem occurred, and sometimes CS changes my keyboardlayout to the US version...

I changed all my passwords anyway and there are no unusual activities in any of my accounts so assume everything is fine by now ^^

Thank you very much for your answer :)

Hello everyone,

first a little disclaimer: I´m completely new to the forum an have got no experience with forums of any kind, so it´s very likely that I´m making some stupid mistake and upset everyone just because I don´t know how u guys handle stuff here. So apologies in advance !

I  have got a huge problem! Today I tried to log in to several of my online accounts (including my bank, Amazon, Youtube, mail, Ebay and Facebook account) and it didn´t work. I always got the same answer from every website that I tried to log into: "password invalid/password wrong".

I used Chrome and I´m 1000% certain that I typed in the correct passwords and I know for sure that capslock wasn´t enabled!

After restarting the system the problem seems to be fixed, but I´m afraid that my problem was somehow virus related because I installed a bunch of new (mostly freeware) programs today....

And now I´m afraid that s.o. stole all my passwords....

Has anyone got some kind of alternative explanation why my browser behaved that strange ?

Thank you in advance for answering :)

P.S.: Sorry for all the typos ;)

For better or for worse, the most likely cause is that you were typing your password wrong or using one for another site.

You can always try a virus scan just in case. I'd recommend Avast! and malwarebytes

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

I already ran two virus scans, one via kaspersky and one with malwarebytes, both didn´t find anything! And like I said, I definitely used the right email/username and the right password. I even typed it into a word document and copied it form there to be absolutely sure !

Maybe you pressed Windows key + Space ? By pressing it, your keyboard layout will be changed (if you have more than one installed).

Edit

Don't forget to change  your passwords, I always do it when I'm not sure.

PS: you can check for unusual logins @ https://myaccount.google.com/security
