Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

asus

better UEFI, more refined products, and hundreds of times more sales which goes to show how low the failure rate is

also linus loves WS series motherboards, so thats another plus :)

what are the main differces between the

Z170-WS  https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-WS/

and the

EVGA Z170 Classifiedhttp://www.evga.com/products/Product.aspx?pn=151-SS-E179-KR

somone told me that the evga does not use the pex, and is faster?

its e-atx ofc and it has better voltage regulating?

any help would be apreciated ;)

The Z170 WS is the better board. Higher quality, better power delivery, ATX, and 4-way SLI.

BTW, if someone tells you a motherboard gives you a higher frame rate, disown them.

what makes the 170 ws better than the EVGA Z170 Classified? the evga also support for way sli but does it use a differt system for the extra pci lanes?

"Because every card in an SLI or CrossFire array uses exactly the same data, a repeater switch that sends four copies of the same data to four cards works nearly as well as a PCIe controller that has four times as many lanes. NVidia called this “Broadcast mode” when marketing its earlier solution, and Avago now calls it Multicast in the PEX 8747. The firm’s marketing image still carries the PLX logo of its subsidiary. "

is the asus solution at the same level as the EVGA one?
