Flash crashing Panasonic

Hello, I do not have much/any experience in the camera department. For example, I'm used to buying the digital camera that says, "22 megapixels of POOOWWERRR!!!" and then the photos look like garbage sooo.. 

Yesterday though, I got a used camera- the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and I love it, except for one flaw. When the flash full charges, it crashes the camera..

Is there a fix to this, or have to 2 years of family use just broken the flash forever?
