How many watts?

I tried the Outervision PSU Calculator, and it says when I have it on 24/7 it suggests a 409W

There's a reason why I don't trust those calculators, they're highly inaccurate and overestimate by a good chunk.

Anyway, I just went and had a quick look at that website and I would recommend this. This is the cheapest PSU I could find that's actually decent quality.

Hey!

I wondered how many watts I need for a XFX Radeon R9 280 2GB

I dont have a big budget, and if you suggest PSUs, some does not retail here.

~Thanks

500 watts would be enough, where are you buying from?

I'm probably buying of Proshop Norway, so it's a norwegian website. If you use Chrome, just click the little translate button in the top right corner

Not sure what your budget is for a PSU, but that site seems to offer a good selection.

The Seasonic S12II is a good choice. Or if you want to spend a little more for modular cabling, the M12II is available as well. You have more options than that, of course. Those are just a few I found that are usually reasonably priced and are extremely reliable.

To be that precise about it we'd need to see your whole system, not just the video card.

But keep in mind you don't want your PC to be running at the peak of your PSU's capacity very often. PSUs are generally the most efficient when you are using about 60–80% of their capacity. A ~500 Watt PSU for this build is not overkill, even though it's actual peak draw will be quite a bit lower than that.

It's better to choose based on the PSU's quality and electrical performance, rather than the wattage figure. Up to a point, anyway.

Check Dustinhome.no ;) They have some good deals this weekend too! My system is 600kr cheaper there compared to an equivalent system on proshop.
