Need help with choosing a monitor!

Hello everyone.

So I am about to build a new PC for gaming and video editting and I need help deciding what monitor I should go with. Since I am going with a AMD Radeon r9 390 I've decided to go with a freesync monitor, AOC G2460PF 144hz 24.0" to be exact, but the question I am asking myself is: Do I really need a freesync monitor or can I play games effectivly, without tons of tears or stutters with a monitor that doesn't support freesync. Now, it isn't a problem for me to buy a freesync monitor, I just want to know if I need freesync 144hz to play games without running into any display problems or I could go without the freesync part. I know it might be a dumbdumb question, however I am in real need of help here!

The AOC G2460PF is a great choose. Even tho you may not really need free sync its a great monitor and it is so cheap for what it does so you may as well go with it
