I made a bunch of color themed builds, the order is generally

Full tower

mid/micro

mini ITX

the 4 at the end are exceptions.

Price generally follows that as well, first is high, second is medium, third is low, repeat for new color.

what do you think? which one is your favorite?

Any custom prices are imported from Canada.

Why?

It is a legitimate post showing off build lists on a tech forum!

I didn't really design these builds with price in mind, so if you would like me to modify one for a certain budget i am more than happy to.

T'was a rhetorical question my good sir. I'm actually in the process of designing a computer inside of a desk. It's an interesting project that I'm doing right now.

There is a case for that. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112445

But does it have integrated RGB being controlled by an arduino board and is it an L-Desk?

why use arduino controlled RGB when a Hue+ from NZXT is so cheap and easy?

Because I enjoy programming things. My intentions is to run a shit ton of RGB strips to an arduino board that is manipulated by a touch sensitive display that is integrated into the desk itself. The lighting is completely separate from the computer and the components themselves are going to be pretty low key in terms of color. In general, this project is allowing me to use my carpentry skills and programming skills to make something that I would want to have keep for a long, long time. Also the thing going to have a custom water loop.

You can also make the PC interface and control the arduino via USB. That way you can have the lights vary by program you are running, temperature, sound, etc.

Good point, I hadn't actually taken that into consideration.

as for components, I say make them super obvious, but just white/black/silver, so the RGB still works.

I'll probably make a thread on my project when I can get the 3D model finished. Still working through the sketches to try and see what should go where.
