Not all of EVGA's PSUs are very reliable, and the 500B is not one of them.

EVGA G2 and P2 are SuperFlower OEMs, the 500B is not, and uses crappier parts. the PSU he has there is an amazing deal (AUD)

Different PCPartPickers for different countries:

UK-----Italy----Canada-----Spain-----Germany-----Austrailia-----New Zealand-----'Murica-----France-----India

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Eh but like no really, and EVGA doesn't make their PSUs so not really to the second point. Valiant effort though and it's not a bad suggestion for this build.

The XFX is a good PSU. Go for it.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Would you put a CX PSU in your computer?

Lol I actually have one in my main rig and it's running my gtx 970 and my overclocked fx-8350 fine. But I am aware they are not the best out there. But I built this PC a few years ago when I thought anything corsair was the shit. It's not that bad though because the power supply isn't on that heavy of a load. But I am aware cx are a little sketchy.

My GTX 970 carries me to global.

Meh, mileage may vary. It always varies.

Higher power CX PSUs literally don't work if ambient temperature goes up, such as in summer close to the tropics. Or in australia.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

I live in a basement in Michigan and we keep our AC at 70F. Also my case ambient temperature is pretty nice because of the amount of fans I have and the cooler for the cpu blows up and out of the case.

My GTX 970 carries me to global.

That PSU you have there has the best price / performance of anything I could find in aus online stores. You have the LTT PSU Awareness Society*'s blessing.

I think the biggest point is that AUD prices suck donkey dong, and even if the 500B was a better psu (which it isn't), it actually costs the same as the XFX model.
