Robot?

I'm looking to buy a robot that acts like the BB-8 Sphero robot but I'm not sure if I want that or not. Is there any other robots like that that will keep me company while gaming or doing anything? I think it'd be nice just to have something like that around me.

Anyways, for this purpose I'd get a pet like a dog, a lot more enjoyment out of them too IMO
