By 'power management mode' i assume you mean this?

if not, is there maybe a program that came with your ThinkPad that does this stuff, even though it might have not happened before?

Make sure you have no Screen Saver. By default, screen savers on laptops will lock the computer when it runs. There is the option to disable it.

 

To check for this, in Windows 10 search box, type: "Screen saver", and pick: "Change Screen Saver"

Make sure that the drop down box is set to "(None)", and that the check box "One resume, display logon screen" is uncheck. You'll also notice the box for the time is set to 1 min, like what you are having.
