hello ltt formus i'm back with yet another problem, but this time it is a lot less serious.

back in mid 2013 i bough an Asus Vulcan headset

for 2 weeks i enjoyed it's surround sound goodness and was mostly happy.

the only pain in the ass was the cable that kept getting in my way and i accidentally ran it over with my chair a few times.

why i didn't just put the cable behind my screen on my desk i will never know but needless to say the cable no longer works at all.

the internal wires broke at the worst possible spot too. at the very end of the jack that goes into the headset some or all of the wires are broken off or frayed to the point of no return.

if it where anywhere else i could just cut the cable and re-solder them together but seeing as how that's not the case i didn't use the headset for quite a while and basically called them useless.

just the other day i realized with my audio cable i use on my Samsung galaxy player i can plug that into the USB dac that comes with the Vulcan and plug it into the headset.

it works pretty good but the audio quality is a bit off at times.

now to the main point of this post.

i am looking for a possible replacement for the still broken main cable.

seeing as how it is a combo audio and mic jack i have no idea what too search.

if you have any idea's please feel free to let me know.

it's not urgent that i find out but it would be nice to get a proper solution going some time.
