Software for sharing files

Bazadar

Hi All,

My home 'server' is running Windows 10, Which has all pictures/videos backed up on it from our pc's and phones. Im looking for some software that will enable me to share pictures from my server online via lets say a web link after entering in a password, Anyone have something they can recommend?

Kind regards

Barry

Plex, allows video, music, and picture sharing. Had a great web interface along with widely supported apps, nd you can share access with other people. Most of Plex's features are free. Downsides are the interface for photos specifically is alright, but not amazing, and to share the other users need a plex account also.

Plex doesn't really do sharing, it does streaming, whether it be through one of their apps, a web browser, or DLNA. If you're going to share files over a local network, an SMB share will do just fine. If you want remote access, set up an FTP server and port forward through your gateway. Or something like OwnCloud would work as well.
