Has anyone else had a frustrating experience with installing a graphics card in the Air 240? None of the screws fit, and that clamp falls off its hinge all the time, and the experience is generally horrible. Ideas?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

You shouldn't be using screws to fasten the GPU in yo. Just clasp it in with the thingy.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

That's what I thought... and how I've been doing it. "tool-less install". yea right. The clasp is loose and if the case is placed upright, the card slides down halfway into the slot beneath it, so I've resorted to placing the case horizontally. additionally, it does say that screws can be used if desired in the manual. but none fit.

Are you sure the GPU isn't pushed hard enough into the PCI slot?

I've been running this case a while, all thru my SSD trouble a while back that eventually warranted a new MoBo, so thru multiple boards too. And on each board I have un and re-installed the card multiple times, until the card retention clip clicks and then a little. both boards, and thru each reseat, the problem persists. the problem is the clasp is little more than a piece of metal on a hinge. It applies no force.
