whats the gaming resolution at? 1080p? 1440p?

also, you can try monitoring your hardware using MSI afterburner, its a useful tool to monitor your system to check for potential issues

i just did a plug and play, should i try to do a fresh install, also im on 1080p and the gpu was working with the 8350

it's recommended since it will not only remove any drivers you dont need thus free-ing space, it will also prevent the chances of drivers working against each other

 

1080p on a 960 is fine, try monitoring the gpu usage and core clock with msi afterburner, maybe vram too if you have 2gb version
