looking for software similar to finepixviewer but for sd cards

my mum doesn't want to used the sd card reader because of it's not as simple as before, where when the camera was plugged in via usb the photos will automatically go to her folder (i think pinefixviewer did that)

anyone know of some software that does the same function but for when an sd card is plugged in?

Windows 10's Photos app or OSX Photos app usually detect when a media storage device like a smart phone, tablet or even a memory card is plugged in and it automatically opens the program.  You still have to decide whether you want to import the new images, music, etc. or not, but I think you can also set the "photos app" to do that automatically instead of asking you every time.

 

Other than that, I know Adobe Lightroom detects and opens the media import screen when you plug in a memory card, but this only works if you turn on Lightroom first before inserting the memory card.  Other than that... not really sure what else is there.

oh nice, as i just moved her from her toshiba laptop to the pc i built for her recently, turns out windows 10 is an unlicensed version now so i might need to sort that out before i can use the photos app but thank you
