Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Info

Go to solution Solved by David_K,

6+2 means you have a 6P connector with a 2P addon to make it an 8Pin connector, so you are fine. as you have 2 6+2 and you need one 8P and one 6P .

I'm planning to buy a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Graphics card GV-N970G1 GAMING-4GD particularly. I have a Cooler Master GX 650W and Cooler Master : CM 690 II (ver.2). I was wondering whether I'll be able to fit the card in my case and also the power and connector requirement.

Gigabyte says 550W(with one 6-pin and one 8-pin external power connectors) and GX 650W has  6+2 Pin PCI-e x 2 .

Will i face any problems with it?

Graphics Card Size: H=39 L=299 W=114 mm

It would would, as for the Case, at the worst case you will need to lose the lower drive cage.

The lower drive cage is detachable. But the slot is above that level. I just checked and 300mm fits a little tight in there. :|

Keep it simple.

But as for the GPU length, that might be a really tight feet, might consider something like the MSI 970 ?

I agree, i guess I'll borrow from someone and check if it fits properly.

Keep it simple.
