Is this CPU installed correctly?

If the two arrows are in the same direction, it's okay (arrow on one of the corner of the cpu)

 

And as i can see in the picture, you did it correctly

well if you're not sure, give it a little wiggle

the golden triangle seems to match with the arrow on the socket

Looks like they are, is it centered correctly? Not like I could mess it up much, I gently made sure it fit.

This should be inserted correctly, the triangle on the CPU is matching the engraved triangle on the socket cover, if your CPU is not functioning correctly try making sure the pins aren't bent.
