RAM (in)compatibility

I've recently bought an 8GB kit of RAM (https://www.alzashop.com/crucial-so-dimm-8-gigabytes-kit-ddr3l-1600mhz-cl11-dual-voltage-d2835964.htm):

Crucial SO-DIMM 8 GB KIT DDR3L 1600MHz CL11 Dual Voltage PC3L-12800

 

When I put the RAM in my laptop (Acer aspire 5943g), it detects a hardware change, and gives me 2 options: either start windows normally or try startup repair. Both options fail a couple seconds in and the computer restarts. When I try it again, it happens again. When I put in my original RAM, it starts up normally.

Original RAM: Samsung M471B5773CHS-CH9 4GB kit DDR3 (2x2GB) PC3-10700 (667 MHz) 1,5V

 

Any suggestions?

It seems as though the laptop doesn't support 8GB DIMMs and only supports up to 4GB DIMMs.
