don't have a parts list just yet because I only have a few hardware pieces picked out. I recently bought two xeon e5 2670 cpus for about 80$ each and two hd 7970 for 140$ each but now I need a motherboard. After the motherboard I can work around a psu case ssd and ram and I will be done.

OP is this a statement or a question about what motherboard you could use?

sorry it is kinda both. I need a motherboard for it but its not an immediate need as of right now, I also know that a board I can use is the asrock epc206 whatever but its 300$ so its a bit pricey and if its the only one then I can deal with it

Could have been the one you were mentioning in the beginning.

yeah it is but I don't mind its kinda worth it I have seen all the benchmarks and 32 threads is also amazing on a pc but with the xeon e5 2690v4 or whatever it is, 22cores and 44 threads on one cpu is deadly especially with 2 of them........ Linussssssssssssss

I bought 2x 2665s a year ago for twice that price each :/. But at least the motherboard where way less expensive then. you should be able to run those on any intel 602 based motherboard with dual sockets. I would recommend going with a non-oem board (board pulled from a dell,hp,ect server) or a supermicro board as they will be less likely to have proprietary versions of pci-e slots or locked down/lackluster compatibility with certain boot devices and expansion cards.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.
