Hi guys I'm new here and someone told me this was the best place to get tech help so here I am. Im thinking about buying a new graphic card with a 800 budget including new PSU but I'm stick on which to buy?

My current setup is:

Asus Z170 Pro gaming motherboard

i5 6600K @ 4.4 GHz

EVGA SSC GTX 970

16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR4

EVGA 500W gold

I'm stuck on buying another 970 for SLI

Or a 980 to

Or a 295x2

Or a wait for the Fury x2 or NVIDIA new card ( assuming I can afford it)

Thanks!

Best option would be to wait.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Also agree, why are you looking to buy a new card? The 970 will get you around 60fps in even the most demanding games at 1080p

CPU: AMD 7800X3D  | GPU: Asus Dual RTX 2080 Advanced | RAM: 32GB 6000MHz CL30 | Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X670E-F

PSU: Corsair RX750 | OS: Windows 11 64-Bit | Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum | Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB (Brown Switches)

Then you're pretty much stuck with waiting for Pascal, and buying two GTX 1070.

Wait now. A pascal? You mean to say he should have bought a TitanXp? Would it not be smarter to buy a 1080TI. I know this thread is old but still..

Um on April 20th 2016 there was no GTX 1080 Ti nor Titan Xp. The GTX 1080 was still a month away at the time, the GTX 1070 a month and a half, and the GTX 1080 Ti almost a year away.

Believe it or not, I read this during April the 20th 2016 and I just couldn't wait for the future gpus so I traveled in time and bought the 1080TI. I also felt like replying to this. Believe it or not, the choice is yours.
