H100i randomly turned off?

Just got and installed the Corsair H100i V2 on my PC. It's be installed for a couple days and has been working fine. That is until now when it randomly was off and not working. My cpu hit 80C for a split second and I looked and it shut itself off (the h100i). Rebooted and the h100i unit is back on and working but i'm still concerned that it shut itself off like that. any help?

Double check your connections and make sure all is well with that. Also, you may want to try plugging it into a different motherboard header. Could be a faulty unit or it could be an issue with the motherboard header you have it plugged into. Like Rusty said, keep a close eye on it.
