Hey so ive got zero experiance overclocking and im looking to pop my cherry with my Sabertooth Z77 and 3570k, I recently had a friend overclock it to 4.2GHz however i had to reset it due to high temperatures from a bad cooler mount. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Aight, so you pop into your bios and bump up your core clock multiplier. Set it back to 42, and see how it goes. If it crashes, give it a few hundredths of a volt until it's stable. If you can't get it stable and within a temperature you're comfortable with, turn the multiplier down and the voltage as well and continue tuning.
