I plugged in my motherboard to my psu and turned it on only to have it start smoking 

i have turned it off and unplugged everything 

 

i believe it shorted somewhere 

 

should i take my chances and turn it back on

 

note... the pc is on a cardboard box test bed

this is an x58 rig 

 

and i have a evga supernova 550 gs
