Need Help For Upgrade

ok so my friend want to upgrade his pc he got

pentuim e5700

jetway g41 ti41m

4gb of ram that i really have no idea what it is

some old powe supply that i think is chinese 400w

the budget is 400$ i was thinking that he should get hd 7970 and new power supply i knew that the cpu is going to be a big bottleneck but his going to upgrade again in next 2 monthes

so should he get the gpu and the power supply first or cpu and motherboard and ram first and they will be fx 8350 and gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 and 8GB of ram

and how bad is the bootleneck going to be and thank you

It'd be better to upgrade other parts or a new build altogether. The bottleneck otherwise would be quite significant.

I would strongly advise you to build a new system. If you are already going to upgrade the PSU, motherboard, CPU, RAM and graphics card, you might as well just build a new machine

don't have enough budget? save for a another month or so.
