Is it worth upgrading?

Hi,
I have got a 2nd hand computer that was pretty good in it's day.
I was wondering if you guys think its even worth the upgrade.
The internals:
WD Green 1TB
Core i7 870 2.93 GHz
Radeon HD 4350
Gigabyte H57M-USB3
4GB DDR3 RAM

The things I am thinking of upgrading are RAM, Graphics card and maybe getting an SSD. Is it worth spending the money on an old system?

Thank you

It all depends what you want your PC to do, if you want more gaming performance, then upgrading your Graphics Card would be a good way to go as it can be used if you decide to completely upgrade your system. If you want faster boot times and faster transfer speeds that get an SSD. If you use RAM munching chrome a lot, then maybe upgrading your RAM would be a good way to go, as it is being sold very cheaply at the moment.

I think you are on the right track, Of course if have the money to just simply buy a new PC that would work too. But I'm assuming you're looking to save money.

If you intend to upgrade to a whole new system in the future buy parts you can transfer over to the new one rather than permanently upgrading the old PC.
Like get some nice RAM and GPU that will be used in that system you have now as well as the SSD.

Once you get the chance to pick up a new chip, motherboard, powersupply, and case then you can swap those into the new PC if you wish and put your old components back into the old one! Doing that you now have an older but still pretty solid system that you can use as a server or a variety of other things like an HTPC etc...
