So recently my H80i had a pump failure and im not sure if I want to buy a whole new H80 or get something better. My CPU is an i5 6600k overclocked to 4.6GHz and the H80 kept it at 27° idle and around 40-60°c I think in intense games. Is there any cooler that will do better and is it worth it to change or should I get another H80? Also I don't really like the extremely thick and wide tubing of the H80 since it makes it kind of annoying trying to shut my case, one with longer thinner ones is preferable.

I don't really have a recommendation, but i was wondering how long you had the AIO in "service" before the pump gave out. I am hearing that a general rule of thumbs for averaged priced cooler pumps is about a 1 year before they fail.

Well I got this whole PC built for me for absolutely free from a family friend so I'm not sure if he previously used the AIO. Sorry. All I know is my CPU was running at 100°c idle and the fans and pump were pinned at 100%. ggwp

Corsair H100i is the best cooling. I have never had an issue with it. It is 240mm.

Is it better than the H110i? That one is only $15 more?

100°c idle? There should have been damages done to the CPU ages ago. It should fail when it reaches something like that! xD

It only ran at that for like 5-10 mins max then I shut the whole system down and it's currently being looked at. Trust me as soon as I saw those temps I wasn't interested in keeping it on :D
