Hello,

I was wondering if it would work if i ran two fans off of a single low power adaptor using a splitter cable.

Basically I have a Corsair Air 540 case with 2 140s as intake in the front and one 140 as exhaust at the back. I ordered two quiet edition AF140s to go in the top as exhaust to make the top of the case look better and keep dust and cat hair from settling on the top of the mesh. This would give me more exhaust than intake which is not the best so i will be using the low power adaptors on the top fans and running them off of molex for power. I would like to get the rear exhaust fan on 7v as well to help balance the system but i dont have a third low power adaptor. I do have a splitter though. Would the splitter run two fans in parallel giving each 7v and splitting the current? or splitting the voltage and causing the fans to not spin?

Also, my two front fans are being split from one mobo header, seems fine but anything i should be aware of for those?

Fans are all 3 pin and splitters are PWM if that matters.

It would be nice, but I'm going to keep the 3 fans that came with the case. Girlfriend will think i'm crazy if i suddenly order 5 more fans. It seems that my mobo doesnt give any control over fan speeds for anything but the cpu fan. I'll try the splitter and see how that goes.
