OK so I am not that familiar with networking. The problem I want to fix is that I have one Ethernet port coming into my room but I want to be able to connect it to more than one device. I was wondering what the best thing to do this is.

Thanks in advance.

Switch is way easier, just plug and play. If you wanna get a stronger wifi connection in your room you could get a router and configure it as a bridge/wifi access point but is a LOT more work.

If you have the option to get a high refresh rate monitor, do it.

Ok so it looks like a switch is the way to go. What are some good home 5 port switches.
