I'm afraid there aren't many inexpensive 1080p laptops out there... On ncix the least expensive is around 700 US and newegg is around the same. Although if you do find something make a post because I'm in the market for something similar.

Its automatic, just press this button!

Hi guys. Looking for some advice here.

I've been looking into getting a budget 1080p laptop for productivity and Steam In-Home Streaming and I'm a little stuck.

I've got a budget of £200, with a little flex upward if necessary.

your only getting 1080p with a chromebook at that budget:

Get a used machine. You'll find that older workstations had very high resolutions. For example, the ThinkPad W500 was available with 1920x1200. The slightly newer W510 is limited to 1920x1080.

Both are available for about 200 pounds. The W500 is readily available, although you may need to find a configuration with the high res screen first. The W510 is harder to find, especially when combining the FHD display with your 200 pound budget, but offers do sometimes crop up.

Alternatively, you could look for the non-workstation equivalents that are cheaper to purchase, like the T510 and T520, and simply upgrade to a FHD display yourself.
