So I've been trying to overclock my gpu, and I followed standard procedure - raise clock by 10, run benchmark, etc - and came across this problem every time I would load Heaven or Valley up in full screen. The program would crash, and I thought it was just a regular "You're overclocking too much turn it down" thing, but it was something different entirely. If I tried to change ANY value on afterburner, the numbers would crank up to ridiculous values instantly. I'm talking about values like 77,000 MHz for both memory and core clocks, and 55,000 mV for power. Its ridiculous, and I can't even try to reset to default without them going even higher. If I try to restart Afterburner, it fails to even recognize the card and I am forced to restart my rig. This can all be prevented if I don't do this in fullscreen Valley or Heaven.

Rig info:

Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz

16 gb RAM

No, I can try that right now

Well, if you are gonna reinstall those driver use DDU just to make sure that its a clean re installation and if it still wouldn't change the problem then i would suggest try a different OC suit!

Okay, I'll run that program to make sure the install is clean. If the problem persists I guess I can try another one then

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers? also clean install of the program.

So last night I tried doing what you told me, with no avail. This time, I followed BigDay's guide:

follow my guide

But the same thing happened: the screen blacked out, and afterburner did its weird thing again.
