Why the hate for Uplay?

I got Splinter Cell Blacklist and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. They both play fine with it.

Uplay is fine as a launcher. I just have a problem with it when it lays ontop of other DRM, like Steam. Then of course there was the whole hacker issue were they got Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon before release, and later some other hackers got access to user info.

The funny thing about those hackers is that they didn't just get Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, they got EVERY SINGLE GAME that uplay supports lol

Its not steam

When I bought Far Cry 3 during the Steam summer sale, I couldn't play it because Uplay was down.

 

“If this is your first time using Uplay on this computer you need to login at least once before using offline mode”

steam is better. but i really dont like Uplay, origin is a bit bad. I dont like how Uplay works, but its still better than Windows live games.

I think Uplay is okay, but I much rather have all my games on steam.
