Hi,

I'm using Windows 10 with i5-4590 and 8GB of RAM.

Sometimes my CPU usage is between 90-100% and I'm not doing any "hard" work (using chrome, winamp etc).

I checked my Task Manager and I saw that Runtime Broker is using about 35%, Microsoft Windows Search Index about 30%.

While Runtime Broker is using 35% of CPU, it's using a lot of ram from 1GB - 2.5GB, or even more.

Screen shot

This heppen to me a couple of times, and I can see that my performance are reduced.

I did not use any other system on this configuration,  so I cant compare.

Does anyone had similar problem?

P.S. I'm using 2 monitors, but I don't think that is a problem.

Go into the services tab and open these services window, Set all the services to manual.

BITS

Windows modules installer

Windows update

Superfetch (disable this one)

Hope this helps :P

P.S try stopping the process and see what happens.

I have a 4590, but I'm not even reaching 100% when gaming, so i don't know whats happening...

While I'm gaming its usually from 30-80%, but sometimes it goes over 90%. But I don't see while playing (I don't have fps drop).
