BSoD while flashing BIOS

Go to solution Solved by -rascal-,

This is why you don't flash a BIOS through an Operating System. Do it directly through the UEFI, or legacy BIOS utility.

How can to do step #5 if Step #1 is not even done yet...

Will the PC boot up now? Or do you notice any issues with the BIOS (seeing as it could be corrupt)?

It had issues starting up, it would power on and off occationally before going through POST. The board has dual BIOS, but I'm afraid that having bsod mid flash may kill it.

So I have yet to reboot it.

Update: Shutdown the PC, on post it immediately detected a corrupted BIOS and restored from backup. Rebooted once it finished and it no longer glitches on power.

I guess it was a BIOS issue beforehand as well. I guess this pretty much ends the thread.

I'll set your reply as the solving answer, mostly because flashing through the BIOS/UEFI Utility is significantly safer. My resources were limited, so I did what I could.
