Hi,

I recently started having problems with my pc. It runs on very high temps  and either shuts down of freezes with with very annoying scratchy sound coming out of speakers. It was going quite high temps on CPU since build but it started getting much worse recently running as high as 80C IDLE tho it doesnt seem to have much effect if its under load.

Any suggestions?

BTW  i have amd 8350FX  with stock cooler no overclocking.

Well max temp as recommended by AMD is 62.5, thermal throttle at 70, and it should shutdown at 80, so you should get that fixed immediately, Stock cooler should be capable of keeping it within those temps, is the fan spinning? Have you taken the cooler off without applying thermal paste?

How warm is your house? If it's uncomfortable for you, it's way hot for your computer!

Well thats the point its not dirty so why temperature started going up? I noticed recently that it was thermal throtling a lot. Atleast it seemed and for example it freezes for like 3 secs with just spotify on. And its getting only worse and worse. And if, any suggestions what cooler should be sufficient? Was thinking about cooler master hyper 212 evo.

And no I havent done anything to it tho build is like 1.5 YO so could paste "wore out" or something?

no its actually like 15 C here :D

Make sure your case isn't plugged up, the fans are moving, no cables fans plugged up with cables.

well im pretty sure of that :) tho i remember that stock cooler used to go up to 6000 RPM (was like a heliicopter :D )when needed now it sits at 3500 no matter what and also temp spikes like 10 degrees inj 5 sec up and down so im reaaaly confused about this and if it shuts down its kinda hot to the touch outherwise i would considered faulty temp sensor

Mine used to sit at 900 when I had my old FX, it was actually 'cause the fan lead wasn't in the right mobo socket :P

May as well give it a go :P I had an 8320 @ 4.0GHz (4.4 sometimes), and it maxed at 54C under gaming load but the fan never changed speed. I'd hooked up a second fan on the CPU cooler, which was not PWM and plugged it into the CPU_FAN slot, instead of the proper PWM one.
