How do I create fan curves etc with my setup

I recent got a z170mx gaming 5 from gigabyte with only a cpu fan and 200mm frontal fan. Ive tried looking in the bios but there are only a few settings there.

Gigabyte has really bad fan control options. You will need to use Speedfan. You can try if Gigabytes SIV (System Information Viewer) has come any better from what it was with Devils Canyon chipset mobos.

 

In short. BIOS doesn't have options to create fan curves. You can set some pre-made fan profiles which only work with PWM fan headers, or use manual steps for PWM. For fan curves, you will need to use software.

Thanks. Ive only now just looked at screens of siv and it seems it has some fan options. Seems like it should help tame my wining stock cooler.
