A usb to 3.5 Sata cable? I want to unplug my hard drive from my pc and use it when i need it?

id just get a hard drive dock - this will ensure the drive is powered correctly via mains if it needs it which many 3.5" drives do

AFAIK 3.5" drives require more power than 2.5" drives and need mains power

A USB adapter doesn't provide enough electricity by itself to power a 3.5" hard drive. You need an external source that outputs the correct amount of power.
