Programming noob

Hey guys,

I'm new to programming and I was looking for some pointers. I know basic Java (I took a semester course in high school where it was mostly console programming). Do you guys know any good resources I should check out for learning c#? Thanks!

I'd prefer something that's free if possible.

I've used codecademy. It has a lot of free languages that teach you most of the basics with advance, paid courses if you feel like its really helping.

Then I don't know any specifics, however if you google around you'll be able to find quite a few forums dedicated to coding. There's probably some videos on youtube.

Console programming would be programming for the gaming consoles or similar. What you've probably done is programs with command line interface (CLI).

Yeah that's what I mean, using commands like System.out.println();

You can also find built in tutorials with Visual Studio if I recall correctly.
