Windows sounds playing through mic.

So not too long ago I brought a HyperX Cloud II. The other day I was having some trouble with the connector for the dongle thingy. Like it was playing like crackling sounds until I moved it a certain way. Anyway a few days go past and sometimes it does that and sometimes it doesn't.

But last night I was playing Rust with some friends and they were complaining about echo. I dismissed it until now. Just did some testing and in audacity it plays my mic but also any Music or videos I am listening to/watching. I assume this is what the echo is. Its like its playing windows sounds along with my mic sound.

Also in recording devices in windows settings if I have something playing (video, music, etc...) the indicator moves as if I am speaking.

i have this issue with my hammerhead pro too when i use the splitter from mic+headset to mic and headset connector

are you using that?

Yeah, The 3.5mm from the headset that has the mic/headset together that then goes into the usb sound card dongle thingo

usb sound card eh... nah its different from my case `-`

i never got mine fixed anyway lol
