For $150 you could have gotten an R9 380 which is a superior card, and if you had sold your current GPU you could have gotten an R9 390 which is better than the dual GPU setup you have now in most cases, especially if you care about frame minimums. Dual GPU setups aren't ideal compared to single card systems, and especially older GPUs with limited VRAM pose a problem.

you are very lucky, the r9 285 on ebay are around $200. I live in a small town that no one sale computer parts on craigslist
