NEW PC Drivers never working

Hello,

I recently built a new PC and I have noticed that whenever i try to install a driver for something like a headset or a keyboard it always fails. I usually get error code 1 (This device is not configured correctly). This is really frustrating for me because i built this PC to get away from a similar problem i had on my old PC and it just keeps on happening. Also, whenever i try to update the driver i ALWAYS get "Windows has failed to install the drivers for this device". Does anyone know why this happens.

 

SPECS:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K Processor (3.5 GHz, 6 MB Cache) 
Motherboard: MSI Z97S Sli Krait Edition 
RAM: HyperX FURY Series 16GB (2x 8GB) - White 
Graphics Card: MSI AMD R7 260X

Try installing your USB drivers? from the disc for your motherboard? i'm not too sure about this stuff but you could try a windows refresh like windows 10 reset pc or reinstall if you have windows 8 or 7.

Just installed the MSI Live Update 6 and updated everything there is to update. Doesn't seem to have helped though...

;-; try reinstalling windows, it might help or might not but theres nothing to lose! right?

well this is a custom built PC and i think resetting it would reset the windows activation key. So I would have to spend another like £30-40 on another key.

Then get the key you used and activate it... they can be used 7 times.
