Why would you do it in the first place? I would just recommend a PCI-e riser card to avoid any compatibility issues.

havnet bought it yet im just looking for a motherboard that would support my q9550

Console is better because its cheaper ~console peasants

u mean overlap the gpu on the chipset heatsink? or am i misunderstanding?

 

if your gpu is overlapping the chipset heatsink, it should be fine tbh

unless its causing a short or something
