Hi, I was able to connect to my network share on my Chromebook. This is how I did it.

  1. Open Files
  2. On the left sidebar, click "Add new services"
  3. Click "Install new from the webstore"
  4. Then install "File System for Windows"

Also Plex is free, but you have to purchase a "Plex Pass" for specific features. You can host it on a Windows, Linux, Mac, or NAS machine. You can access it online (on your network or remotely), on app for your iPhone or Android, on Smart TVs, streaming boxes (like Rokus), and you can download a client as well. I use it all the time for streaming my content!

I'm a blogger, student, and developer. I love re-purposing old hardware such as PCs, routers, and phones.
