Hi all,

My curent mouse is the g502 Proteus Core but my pinky gets sore wile using it because it has the 3 on top position.

A mouse I Really like was the Razer Ouroboros but that Inevitably broke

And I was looking for an other mouse the g900 caught my attention because of the sensor, the wireless, the buttons, and the gorgeous scroll wheel. But I have my doubths about the comfort of the mouse as it is ambidextrous without the wings the Ouroboros had.

I was also looking at the Razer mamba but I have several bad experiences when it comes to Razer hardware so I kind of want to avoid that.

Suggestions more than welcome!

;-)

I use a roccat tyon, nothing but good things to say about it, recently dropped massivly in price so I am assuming a new iteration may be on the way soon....I paid £129.99 about September last year now its £59.99 on Amazon, (UK)

It is also RGB and has 2 lighting zones and comes in white if you prefer that, it is a right hand mouse and has fully programmable buttons which you can program to macros also using the Roccat software, very underated company to be honest as they do some really good stuff!

I like it as it is quite large so fits the hand easier than most smaller gaming mice, but each to their own as they say :)

anyway here are some pix for easy ref....

Thanks for your reply, I recently looked at the Tyon and there are 2 things I don't really like:

The coating on top (deal breaker for me), and the Laser sensor to me feels a bit odd for some reason. It doesn't have the hyper fast scroll wheel but it does have one of the best scroll wheels I know.

It looks a bit busy to me and I have a very minimalist setup so it looks a bit out of place (just like any mouse)

I really like the tyon tho.

I really like the lay out of the sniper button on the g502 I use it for ctrl so I like that to tyon also has a button there.

What about the Roccat Nyth? Have you tried it? Is it worth considering?

Or maybe something from mionix

Or maybe I should do something with the coating or just ignore it; IDK

I have tried the Nyth and it would cover you on the 'looks busy' part as less buttons all over and has the keypad which is totally customizable as well, so you don't lose as much functionality.

The Nyth also has the side plate which you can adjust on the right for your painful pinky so may be a better option,

I went for the Tyon as I am mainly playing FPS and prefer the button mapping for quick crouch/jump or weapon switches with my first two fingers rather than using my thumb on the side buttons, which when using the Nyth I found loosened my grip too much so I was miss firing... but that was me so if you aren't going to be using the mouse  buttons for jump or crouch or hold the mouse different from me you won't even notice the issue!

It is also priced the same on Amazon (UK), It is marketed more towards MMO etc but it is still a very well built piece of kit!

One thing though is the Nyth does still have the slightly rubber texture coating on the top, same as the Tyon...

As far as other mice go you will need to wait for someone else to give you some hands on chat as what I used before these was a old wired dell and then a wireless microsoft mouse, which were both terrible for anything apart from clicking links on youtube lmao!

Have you got a budget in mind as that may help people narrow it down a bit...

Thank you for your information, The Nyth may be an option; I'll look into it.

as far as my budget? I don't really care I just want a comfortable, accurate mouse with a few buttons.

as I usually Use mouses for long periods of time. and the mouse has always been one of the most important things in my opinion
