I cant check now, but what would i do if a had a bent pin? attempt to fix it with a paperclip or small screwdriver?

If pins are bent and you feel confident you can bend them back into place then go for it a exacto blade or something similar but if you are unsure then leave it alone and RMA it.

My PC wont boot with two sticks of ram in the same channel on my motherboard. I am currently running my system with 2X8GB HyperX Ballistix in separate channels, which is worse for speed. Is the memory controller on my CPU broken/defective, or could it be a motherboard problem/CPU mounting problem.

Both sticks of RAM are confirmed working.

CPU + MOBO combo was running both ram sticks in the same channel before a CPU heat sink remounting. (during the remounting, I removed the CPU for like, 5 seconds)

Thanks in advance for your help

Check to see if you have any bent pins and if not it's most likely a Mobo problem since it's really rare for a CPU to have a problem like that.
