So, I know that the lower the latency, the better the ram

Everyone says that a Cas 9 latency ram is perfect for anyone, but what about  cas 7 latency or cas 6 ram? are they worth the extra money? if yes, for what type of consumer

What type of customer are you? If it's for gaming only, get the cheapest 8Gb CL9 1600Mhz you can find, and spend the money on something else =P

That's why I'm asking. Why would you need cas 7 latency ram? what type of activities do you have so that it's worth the extra money for a lower latency ram(than cas 9)

And to answer your question, I'm a gamer(if I could say so :( )

RAM makes no performance difference except for specific types of applications.  Never in my life have I said "Gee I wish my RAM were faster, it's really slowing things down".
