I was watching a bunch of cringe the other day and i found this dude,

He made a budget cpu video 3 months ago with the G440 and the 860k. this cpu is crazy.

What if i put this in a server, budget server.

What if linus saw this in his video on the 150$ Gaming rig

I bet it has potential, what do you think?

Well, gotta be amazed at that. Xeons never disapoint, even after a long time. Theres a reason why Intel focus so much on server based options. Highest quality cpus from Binning are Xeons after all :p, followed by Intel I7 Extreme and I7, I5, I3 and Pentium.

That CPU is great. In fact I have one in my main rig right  now. However the one problem is that the motherboards are about 150-200 due to demand.

My Work in Progress PC http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/522048-xeon-build/ <-- That PC was built but never booted:(

My Work in Progress PC 2.0 https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/540583-xeon-build-20-code-name-xenox (Hopefully this one boots.)

Used 2670s are actually an extremely popular choice on many server-focused forums (like FreeNAS / STB /etc...). Visit most/all and say you're willing to go used and want something powerful and you're basically guaranteed to be recommended a 2670 at least once if not more.
