Hi ,

Ive just build my first PC inside the beautiful inwin 901 case, specs are as follows :

-I5 4690k

-R9 270(upgrading later this year)

-8gb ddr3 ram( also upgrading to 16 as soon as possible)

-asrock  h81m-itx

-550watt corsair PSU

My concern is I bought an overclockable CPU and I want to take advantage of that and hope to boost it to about 4.5/6ghz , however ive seen a lot of reviews about my mobo that say that some air coolers don't fit as the get in the way of the ram , water cooling could be an option but fgen again it causes a large issue when you want to plug something in you have to take it all apart, does anyone have any recommendation?

if I recall correctly, that mobo isn't very good for OC. So I've wouldn't overclock too hard on that board. just buy a hyper 212 evo

You may want to check that a hyper 212 evo wouldn't have clearance issues with the case you're using. For the 901 I'd go for something like a noctua NH-L9x65. Gives a bit of OCing headroom and you should be able to get pretty much any RAM without clearance issues.
