Hello, I have 2 6970s in Crossfire X and when I play games I use GPU-Z to monitor the temperatures on my second card.

GPU Temp. #3 is significantly higher than the other 2 and this has me worried.

Example (While Playing Crysis 2):

GPU Load: 52%

GPU Temp. #1 70.0c

GPU Temp. #2 73.0c

GPU Temp. #3 84.5c

Is this something to worry about? What/Where is GPU Temp #3?

This card is a VisionTek 6970 (Reference Cooler)

Any help will be very helpful!!

I wouldn't worry about it. 84 degrees is still fine

Thank you for responding, but actually some times it can jump up to 100c but the Temp 1 and Temp 2 are only at 75c. I find it strange because of the huge temperature difference.

I wouldn't worry too much, but when you stack that many cards on top of each other and use reference coolers things will get warm fast. Make sure nothing is in the way the head of the card because that's where air is being drawn in for the blower-fan.

I've had shocking temps with my 6970 - during summer it's been sitting at 60c when I'm browsing the net at about 4500RPM.

Of course I knock up the fan when playing games, but still at 6000+ RPM it is hot, and noisy at all hell itself.

On a related note, how much do these sell for?
