While I'd usually advise to skip the 212 EVO and go for a Cryorig H7 or a beQuiet! Pure Rock instead, if you can get a decent deal on the EVO then go for it.

Agreed. Cheap, easy, and reliable. I had the 212 Plus a few years ago and was able to get a 2500k from 3.3 to 4.5ghz without any trouble.
