I know that not a lot of people build phantom keyboards anymore, but I'm bored and want a new project to try. So I'm going to build a phantom TKL keyboard. My idea for this keyboard is balancing it between gaming and typing. I love MX blues (ironic because I'm using Razer green switches at the moment), anyway a lot of people would argue  that they are not really the best switch for gaming, which I somewhat agree with, they are not the fastest switch out there, and some people don't like the click when they are gaming, which I personally don't mind, but the majority of people prefer MX reds for gaming due to their really light and quick actuation due to them being a linear switch. So what do you do when you like one switch for general use, but another is better for gaming? You make a keyboard with all MX blue switches, except for the WASD keys, that will be MX reds. Now I know some of you are going to cringe at the idea of having different types of switches used throughout a board, and I can see where you're coming from, it may throw off typing a bit, but hey I'm willing to try it. I might go with MX Blacks, instead of MX reds to to the fact that Black are a stiffer switch than Reds, which I find a bit soft for my liking, I may also throw in some green switches for things like the space bar.

Anyway the problem I am having is trying to figure what you can use as a case for the keyboard. Everything I've read says buy a flico keyboard case, which is $120, which is crazy I'm not trying to drop that kind of cash on this project. Does anyone make a keyboard case that would work with the Phantom Keyboard PCB that is plastic or just simply cheaper? Or is there like some cheap membrane keyboard that i can buy and use the case from it?

I'd really consider changing the MX Reds for MX Browns, probably a bit of an easier switch between blues to browns on a keyboard and they feel a lot better imho.
